While half of humanity lives confined due to the current health crisis, we invite you to create video dances of 3 minutes maximum shot at your home, indoors or in your garden, and send them to us before 11 next May by sending them to the Festival Twitter account @FestVidDanceFr with the hashtag #VideHomeDance (if you don’t have a Twitter account, please send us a public YouTube or Vimeo link at this address  info@videodansebourgogne.com  and we will will post your film on the Festival’s social networks).

The Burgundy Dance Video Center will make available on our Numeridanse account ( https://www.numeridanse.tv/ ) a montage of 10 films selected, on May 15, 2020 (details to come).

Confinement appears bizarrely as an excellent opportunity to explore the possibilities of video-dance, which is freed from traditional audience and stage ideas due to the crossover it operates between choreography and cinematography, allowing its delocalization. A reduced space therefore becomes susceptible to metamorphosis into a place of representation with almost endless opportunities thanks to the possibilities of shooting, editing, etc.

Make the most of the resources in your homes: all the rooms, stairwells, attics, nooks and crannies, open spaces and confined spaces … Instead of moving furniture to dance in a space empty (like in a studio), use them to create choreography differently.

There are no constraints regarding the styles of video or dance: improvised or choreographed, edited or not, solo or with the family, with effects or not, shot using cameras, webcams or smartphones… the choice is yours! If you want to integrate music with your video, please do not use works that are not free of rights. You can for example use copyright-free works from the site http://www.archive.org , which offers many options that can be used free of charge.

Participants will be informed of the 10 videos selected before May 15. Until then, be well and stay at home!
