The Tanzmesse is the largest professional gathering dedicated exclusively to contemporary dance. It includes a humanities program of workshops and professional development, a festival, and a marketplace. The marketplace includes opportunities for professionals to network and exchange information.

The atmosphere of the Tanzmesse is casual, but its core is a serious desire to learn about dance from around the world. The next Tanzmesse is August 31 to September 3, 2016.
During the Tanzmesse, American Dance Abroad organizes The American Corner booth with several of its national partner organizations.
For artists, managers, agents, and presenters who wish to attend, register as Professional Visitors in Spring 2016 and take part in the U.S. Delegation.
